The water town of Wuzhen was once a prosperous Qing Dynasty town, with the trading and production of Silk. Situated on the Grand Canal, the town has been carefully restored to illustrate how it would have looked at its height. A wonderful example of the water towns of this region, accessible within a couple of hours drive from Shanghai or Hangzhou
