Heads of Tourism Bureaus Attend Seminar Convened in Changchun

A seminar has been held in Changchun Huatian Hotel in Jilin Province for heads of tourism bureaus across the nation during July 28 to 29. Upholding high the spirit of No.41 Directive Document of State Council, and inspired by the mission of building tourism industry into a pillar industry with strategic significance for national economic development and a modern service industry gaining high satisfaction from public, attendees of the seminar have made thorough exploration for development modes to accelerate the transformation of the industry, as well as ideas and ways to underpin its sound and prompt development. A sweeping and deep reform, as pointed by Mr. Shao Qiwei, Chairman and General Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of China National Tourism Administration, should be carried out throughout the nation to push the transformation and great-leap-forward development of the industry.

Mr. Chen Weigen, Vice Governor of Jilin Province attended the seminar and delivered a key-note address. Leaders from China National Tourism Administration, such as Mr. Du Yili, Mr. Du Jiang, and Mr. Zhu Shanzhong, vice chairmen and members of Party Leadership Group; Mr. Liu Jinping, Chief of Discipline and member of Party Leadership Group; Mr. Wu Xuewen, Head of Department of Planning and Finance and member of Party Leadership Group also participated the seminar along with heads of tourism bureaus from 31 provinces, municipalities, Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, cities specifically designated in the state plan, as well as sub-provincial cities. Attendees of the seminar also included principals from offices of and subsidiaries directly under China National Tourism Administration.
