Changzhou
Known as Yanling, Lanling, Jinling, and Wujin previously, Changzhou is located on the banks of the Yangtze River. After the Grand Canal was built in the 7th century, the town became an important canal port for the transportation of cotton. Just outside of the city are the remains of an ancient walled town, founded over 3000 years ago.
